Cranking demand
A diesel needs materially more current to turn over than a similar-sized petrol, and more again when it is cold. That is why bakkies typically run the larger sizes — 652, 657, 658 and up — rather than the passenger-car codes.
Vibration
Corrugations and farm roads are hard on a battery's internal structure. A loose hold-down turns that from wear into damage. Whatever you fit, check the clamp is tight — it is the cheapest thing you can do for battery life.
Fridges, winches and dual systems
A starter battery is built to give a big current briefly, not a small current for hours. Running a fridge off it will flatten and damage it. If you are drawing sustained current while camped, that is a second-battery conversation, and the starter battery should be left to do only its own job.

Which NOVAX® fits your car?
Read the code off the top or side of your current battery — three digits, sometimes with letters after them, like 628 or 646.
NOVAX® is fitted and warranted through Global Batteries Xpress and authorised resellers. Find your nearest outlet — they confirm the size against the car before anything is fitted.
Where to go
NOVAX® is tested, fitted and warranted at Global Batteries Xpress outlets and at resellers we have appointed in writing. The test is free whether you buy anything or not.
