What a car battery actually costs

The number that matters is the one you pay at the counter, not the one on the shelf edge.

What should be in the price

Fitment, and the scrap exchange on your old battery. Both are standard at an authorised outlet, and a price quoted without them is not comparable to one quoted with them.

Every price we publish includes both. Nothing is added at the counter.

Why the same size costs different amounts

Within a size, the difference across our three ranges is the length of the warranty, not a performance claim. Twelve, eighteen or twenty-six months of full replacement cover, with no sliding scale. You are buying certainty, and you can decide how much of it you want.

What to ask before you pay

Is fitment included. Is the scrap exchange included. What exactly does the warranty cover and for how long. Is it a full replacement or does it reduce over time. Who settles the claim, and where do you take it.

If any of those answers are vague, the price is not the price.

Find your battery

Which NOVAX® fits your car?

Read the code off the top or side of your current battery — three digits, sometimes with letters after them, like 628 or 646.

NOVAX® is fitted and warranted through Global Batteries Xpress and authorised resellers. Find your nearest outlet — they confirm the size against the car before anything is fitted.

Where to go

NOVAX® is tested, fitted and warranted at Global Batteries Xpress outlets and at resellers we have appointed in writing. The test is free whether you buy anything or not.
